Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedure The Care Worker's Responsibilities

  1. To be able to recognise and respond to suspected abuse and substandard practice

  2. To report concerns of harm or poor practice that may lead to harm.

  3. To remain up to date with training.

  4. To read and follow the policy and procedure.

  5. To know how and when to use the whistleblowing procedures.

  6. To understand the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and how to apply it in practice, including consent and best interests decisions.
